What we do

South London Storytelling creates works of excellence in a variety of outdoor and indoor spaces, connecting people in through storytelling and art projects.

During the year we invite really great storytellers to perform, and occasionally run workshops at our base at the Woodfield Pavilion on Tooting Common.

And in between these we host informal story circles where everyone is invited to come and try out a story to a friendly group.

Each October, Festival of the Dead celebrates life in the midst of death with stories, fire, music and dance.

Our storytelling magic

“I thought [Beowulf] was amazingI It was really entertaining.  I’d never heard the story so I was keen to hear it, and it was done in such a clear and funny and visual way.  I really enjoyed it.

Fabulous, absolutely fabulous.  Lyrical, poetical, inspirational.

Well I thought it was an emotional rollercoaster…The beginning was good fun, and at the end I shed a tear.
