Night Walk on Tooting Common

Walk led by Mike Mullins

The Wisdom of the Forest Night is a gentle, immersive two-hour pilgrimage into Tooting Common woods. As twilight gives way to darkness, we will slow down, awaken our senses and allow the night forest to become our guide.

You will be invited to bring a live opportunity, challenge or dilemma from your own life. Through silence, folklore, poetry, simple ritual and reflective questions, you can explore it in a different way - listening not only to the thinking mind but to the body, imagination, intuition and the living presence of the forest.

We will cross a threshold into the twilight, walk slowly beneath the trees, spend time listening to the more-than-human world, look towards the night sky and return to the warmth of the fire. There will be opportunities to reflect alone and if you wish, to share with another person. You will never be required to disclose anything you would prefer to keep private.

This is an invitation to experience darkness not simply as something to fear, but as a fertile place of mystery, deep listening and unexpected hope.
